Jarret Stoll’s postgame thoughts…
(on relief about getting out the first period without trailing…)
STOLL: “Maybe a bit, because we didn’t play very well. Our best player was our goaltender and that’s what we needed in the first. Sometimes you need that, but you don’t want that to happen very often.”
(on Dallas losing tonight…)
STOLL: “You have to live out your own game, your own stuff, getting your own points. In the other games, the only thing you can hope for is regulation games, no overtime and no shootouts. If we take care of our own business, we’ll be fine.”
(on the penalty kill in overtime…)
STOLL: “I thought we did a good job of communicating out there and sorting things out, making sure we’re in the right spots and the right lanes. They missed the net of a couple there and we had a couple good clears so it was good.”
(on Jonathan Quick’s game…)
STOLL: “He’s been making big saves all year. We needed him tonight. We didn’t have our full 60-minute effort tonight but we found a way to win and get two points.”
