Kopitar riding hot streak

This might not be the most productive stretch of Anze Kopitar’s career, but it’s certainly close. Entering tonight, Kopitar has recorded a goal in four consecutive games, and also has three assists in that span. He has recorded at least one point in 10 of his last 11 games (seven goals, seven assists). To be certain, no player can do it alone, so give some credit to linemates Dustin Brown and Justin Williams, but Kopitar is the team’s leading scorer and No. 1 center, so he’s the engine. Williams was asked whether this is the most productive that he has ever seen Kopitar…

WILLIAMS: “It’s certainly up there. He’s had some great starts to the season. It’s 82 games. There are lots of ups and downs. … He’s showing that he wants it. He’s carrying us and getting us to where we want to be.’’
