Jeff Carter’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
CARTER: “The guys were hot tonight. Well, Brownie was hot. [laughs] It’s great to see. Obviously, if you look around at the players in this (locker) room, everybody has got some offensive talents. For whatever reason, they haven’t been going in, but hopefully it’s a sign of good things to come.’’
(on his whirlwind season…)
CARTER: “It’s been an interesting year, with two trades in six months or whatever it’s been. I couldn’t be happier right now. I’m on a great team, a team that has a chance to do some big things here. I’m just excited.’’
(on playing for the Kings…)
CARTER: “The defensive game is so structured, where everybody’s on the same page making simple plays and give-and gos. It makes a big difference. It’s pretty easy to jump with the other guys.’’
(on his nerves tonight…)
CARTER: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous. It was kind of a battle for me tonight. (After) the last couple days, it was a grind out there. I’m glad we got the two points. That’s the main thing.’’
