Clifford OK to play tonight

Kyle Clifford will not be suspended for his hit last night on Phoenix’s Gilbert Brule. Clifford, per the instructions of Darryl Sutter, declined to comment on the hit or whether he spoke with any league officials about supplemental discipline. Sutter said Clifford was “off limits” to questions about the hit, but Sutter was clearly very unhappy that the Kings were even penalized for the hit. He called it a “shoulder-to-shoulder hit, nothing more.” Clifford is expected to be in the lineup tonight. Here’s the video of the hit…
