@Onetimer1966, I went to this event and some players were not funny/friendly at all! Just a forced smile, and that’s all!
( We were able to meet only 5 players!!! ) My 7 year old said: “Daddy they are not so “cool”!
I’m really sorry that we missed Westi and Penner! Maybe next year! He’s funny!!!!

@Csaba Bhody, We also went and Penner BY FAR was the nicest! He went out of his way to have a conversation. I liked him a lot. He is a funny guy. And you know what, his play this year has finally started to come around. I like him..but we need more offense..but it will come..hopefully sooner rather than later.

with all the jokers on the kings I can see how a guy like murray may have been out of touch or out of control. Its good to have and keep things light, but there must be a good leader to tighten things up once in a while. We definitely have one of the funniest teams
[Reply]
Hahaha, “We’re both missing teeth”.

Give the mic back to Fraser.
[Reply]
Hard guy not to like despite is less than stellar production on the ice.

Wow
First the “worst date” thing during the Caps game, and now this.
At least there’s something he is good at – jokes.

@Kingdork, When I heard Penners response for that “worst date” video, I literally LOL’d, thought that was one of the funniest responsed I’ve ever heard a player say…
[Reply]
Great job for first time, go Dustin, get a goal tonight.
[Reply]
I dont see the NHL Network throwing job offers his way when he retires, but good effort anyways.
[Reply]
If he could only work as hard at playing hockey… oh, wait… you are right, that is about the level of effort he puts in.

So if DL actually makes a trade, who doess he realistically go after? I wanna hear some real ideas, not some ridiculous Parise/Nash fantasies. I think DL goes after Ray Whitney again, or someone like Chris Stewart, TJ Oshie, or Kyle Okposo. What say you?

@PP Anybody?, Whitney sounds like the perfect DL pickup doesnt he? He played for Dean at San Jose, has a ton of experience, and wouldnt cost as much as Parise, Nash, Carter, or Iginla.

@puck73, I sure hope we don’t go after Whitney unless we can get him dirt cheap which would be doubtful. He’s has basically the same skill set as Gagne but even less physical if that’s possible plus he got to be over 40 by now. Oshie would be interesting although he’s a RW. Not sure why SL would want to trade right now when they are on a pretty good streak.

@puck73, I give you credit for getting me on this idea! I think it would work out well for us. He is very crafty with the puck, a bit JW like but with more finish IMHO. He is about a shade under a point per game this year. wont happen though unless PHX is out of contention and likely a deadline deal requiring some picks and prospects. GAGNE would have to be on LTIR by then as well. He is in last year of contract and has a 3Mil cap hit so fits there. He does have a NMC however, so hed have to waive it obviously.

@PP Anybody?,
I don’t think DL will do anything until much later and defnitiely not until after the All-Star break. As long as we are within a couple of points of SJ, even with their games in hand, we have a legitimate shot at winning the division and having a good seed in the play-offs. the goal tending, PK and defense are solid. The offense has shown some signs of life (thanks BN!) and DL will give it until the break to dvelop and show some consistency. Anaheim, while playing much better, has a lot of ground to make up, Dallas is faltering right now, while Phoenix is hanging in there but doesn’t have the firepower to last the whole season.

@DesertKing, Pass that happy juice buddy! Kings lost more than half their games! We are lucky to be milking the Betman loser point so it doesn’t look that bad on the points tally.
We are far away from being competitive with conference leaders which are all significantly above .500
When we put together a couple weeks where we are really 3 out of 4 without the loser point, I’ll swig from the Koolaid jug with you.

@PP Anybody?, Oshie? Really? The only Kings player that would be worth TJ Oshie is Kopitar possibly…The Blues are def going to extend his contract.

He has been playing better the last 10 games. I keep thinking one magic goal will open the floodgates!

@Weasel, Please! We’ve been hoping for the “floodgates” to open for this guy for almost one year now. He doesn’t have what it takes. He’s gone on July 1st and good riddance. Based upon this guy’s salary, he’s one of the worst pickups by the Kings in their history and, considering the Kings’ history, that’s saying a lot!
[Reply]
Hey guys, at least he talks into the mic when asking players questions. Something a lot of reports should learn to do.
[Reply]
He’s been better as of late.
Since Burrows has a history of biting fingers, do you guys think he’ll bite Penner’s since it probably has maple syrup all over it?
[Reply]
I gotta say he’s pretty funny, and it seems that the other guys like him as well. Also the clip with Brown was funny not because of what was said, but i think he was sitting down or something b/c it looks like Dustin is 5 feet taller than him.
[Reply]
Got to love it.

Hunter’s right. He’s got a little time but eventually has to cut the corner. They’re talikng about Penner’s goal scoring right?
[Reply]
Dustin did a great job. With all the money he’s making, he should at least get a false tooth to fill that hole in his mouth. I know it’s a badge of honor, but personally I think he looks like a hillbilly. Hunter looks like the guitarist for Anthrax.

@Dominick,
I called my wife in when they were showing DPs face a few weeks back. She’s been sad Modano retired, so she gets a look at Pancakes and says, “oooooh… ” and starts to sit down. Then he smiled.. LOFL she just jumped out of her chair.
Everyone else was wearing their teeth so you can presume he just took it out for fun.

Who writes his material? That was pretty good stuff.

I love the phrase “Kings vision gave [him] the ability to walk around,” Rich. What did they do, deny him access to the pancakes?

Super annoying music behind the video. Editor I think has had one too many concussions. Mr. Flapjacks did fine.
