Monday practice: no Kopitar, Sutter

The Kings are on the ice in Vancouver for practice, without Anze Kopitar and coach Darryl Sutter. Sutter stayed behind in Alberta to tend to family matters but will be with the team tomorrow. John Stevens is running practice with the other coaches.

Kopitar’s absence has not been explained yet, but it’s likely a “maintenance day,” particularly given the number of big hits Kopitar has taken of late. The fact that Kevin Westgarth is practicing with the first line suggests that Kopitar will be back tomorrow.
