Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…
(on the game…)
KOPITAR: “If you get a two-minute 5-on-4, you’ve got to capitalize on that, or just under two minutes. We had enough power-play chances tonight, and we didn’t bear down. It came back to bite us in the (butt).’’
(on the aggressive Jets…)
KOPITAR: “They were skating pretty hard. That’s obviously their game. Their home crowd was amazing tonight. You expect nothing less than for them to come out strong and try to put pressure on us. I think, the bottom line is, we worked hard and we got three out of four points (on the trip). The road trip was not that bad, if you get three out of four. We’ve got to make sure we go home now and take care of business at home.’’
(on whether getting the power play going would be the answer to problems…)
KOPITAR: “Definitely it would be, to get some confidence back and everything. We’ve just got to do the things that make you successful. Tonight we were moving the puck, but we just couldn’t finish it off. We’ve all seen it. If you can’t finish it off, eventually it will come back and bite you, and it did tonight.’’
