@408kingsfan,
I thought it was just my clock, which has taken about an hour to advance five minutes lol

Im going to miss the game…Im so disappointed
[Reply]
Man, he reminds me soooo much of Rodney Dangerfield; I feep expecting a “no respect” gag.
[Reply]
Sutter said he will dress a couple of extra guys in warm ups just to be sure Mike Richards is ready to go……PUT ME IN COACH! PICK ME!PICK ME!……wouldnt that be AWESOME!
[Reply]
ill be at the game kingssssss
[Reply]
I am fired up as well.
I love that fact there is going to be change. The Kings have been a soft hockey club for awhile now, thanks to TM. Sutter will end that ASAP! This team has a chance to be tough to play against, Sutter loves the rough stuff.
As soon as someone doesn’t want to hit or play with an edge, they will be gone.
We have tried the soft play and it doesn’t work, this team isn’t the Red Wings…. If we are going to win, we are going to have to do it like BOS, Philly, hate to say.. The Ducks.. That’s how we will win..
Time to see who wants to really play and who wants out.
I expect to see a different Clifford… You going to see the Cliffy like last year and all through Jrs. Unlike TM, Sutter loves that style of play.
I see a lot on here question Westgarth.. Well, TM would never let Westgarth go after another non fighting player and do his enforcing job. Sutter will and if Westgarth doesn’t, I’m sure Sutter will get someone that will.
I hate to say it, but guys like Lokti, Lewis, Hunter, AM, won’t be Sutter type players. Too Bad the Flyers didn’t take them and leave us Schenn and Simmer.
I can see players like Nolan and Clune coming up and playing real well under Sutter.
I am really excited, becasue I hopefully for a change and I hope the Kings start playing an in your face style, like Sutter likes!
I will tell you one thing Sutter won’t do (like what TM did many times)…
He won’t put the Kopi line on the ice with 2 seconds left, when the kings are leading SJ by 2 goals. No way Clowe gets to throw a punch at JMFJ with 2 seconds in a game under Sutter!
[Reply]
Calm Confidence….. this guy for some reason makes me more confident in this team, hopefully the players feel the same and the result is goals + wins.
MURDER the ducks
[Reply]
I’ve heard nothing but good things over the past couple of days. The team will work hard tonight, and prove Sutter’s theory with a 3-2 win…in regulation.

Yo Adrian!

@Paul G, Yes!!! I closed my mind and that’s all I heard. We have Rocky Balboa as a coach hahahahahah.

Call me crazy, but the feeling before this game is almost like a weight has been lifted. It feels like a new beginning. Now lets drive the net and occupy the slot and work the boards by cycling the puck. GKG

My prediction for tonight: Kings win by 3 goals!!
Anybody else care to wager??

@rogiesbackup, My prediction? 5-1 Kings. Book it.

So what are the 2-4 lines? I know Richardson Kopitar Brown, but what is the rest of the line up look like?
Lewis Richards Penner?
Gagne Stoll Williams?
Clifford Fraser Westgarth?
Good balance there.

@KC23, They are:
Gagne/Richards/Lewis
Penner/Stoll/Williams
Clifford/Fraser/Westgarth

@scootty, That is pretty scarey line up. Three lines that can burn you. Ducks will definately struggle to match that. Especially with Kings getting last change.

Hope Sutter said to Stoll: “Just get a little closer to that net and you’ll be fine”

Datacloud Reply:

@jess, I like that. You would think Stoll would be more of a net presence kind of guy. I’ve seen his face close up when he’s about to deliver a hit, and I see pure evil.

jess Reply:

@Datacloud,
Stoll definitely has the ability to show more goal scoring production and with that said, Sutter comes across as a coach that will identify individual traits, then give each player a little something to improve upon on a regular basis. All of those little things eventually add up! Hope I’m right.

Dominick Reply:

@jess, He should put Stoll in the slot during the power play. Closer to the net, and maybe if he gets a few shots off, the PK will start collapsing in on him and open up other areas.

He sure can shoot the puck in shorter range with an incredible accuracy. All he has to do is believe in himself and relax a lil bit.

@jess,
Yup. I think that’s why he’s good at SO because of no pressure from behind or elsewhere.
Sutter definately has a presence. That is twice now I’ve watched his interviews, and have my doubts, but end up with a strange sense of calm.

@Dominick, I’m surprised how easily Sutter has won me over. I was totally against him being hired but he has said all the right things so far.
Let’s just hope the Kings flick the switch to ON when they hit the ice tonight.

One thing about Sutter..he has presence about him and he know what he wants. No hesiitation..no soft tones. To the point and let’s go!
[Reply]
It’s like we get a new beginning!
I’m really curious to see Sutter’s in-game adjustments. I’ve seen him in the past, but don’t recollect his game management skills. Just have a feeling he’s got great instincts.
Like someone said on this thresd. He seems to make small tweaks to each player’s game and lets them go out and give ‘em hell! Just play smart and hard, keep taking Sutter’s advice and we should see a turn-around.
Let’s not forget that having Richards back will also make a BIG difference!
GkG!
