Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…
(on getting goals from two point shots…)
DOUGHTY: “We’ve actually been doing a pretty good job at it lately. We’d have pucks getting deflected wide or whatever the case may be. Finally, we got it. Brownie did a great job in front and the first one just went straight in. The second one, he got a tip. So we did a great job, and to finally get that win, it’s just a huge weight off our shoulders, but at the same time, we’ve got to get rolling.’’
(on not getting to the three-goal mark…)
DOUGHTY: “We can’t be winning every game by one goal. I think we all know that. We all know that we need to get more goals, and we’re all trying to do our best to get more, but I think if we pay more attention to detail and get more pucks to the net, we’ll win.’’
(on ending the losing streak…)
DOUGHTY: “That’s all the matters. Throughout the game, I thought our whole team, from the first line to the fourth line, from the first D pair to the third D pair, and the goalie, everyone worked so hard. We want to be the hardest-working team in the league, and tonight I thought we did a good job of that.’’
