Scuderi postgame quotes (Dec. 10)

Rob Scuderi’s postgame thoughts…

(on the Kings’ recent struggles…)
SCUDERI: “Nobody is happy about our last two-and-a-half, three weeks of hockey. But at the same time, each game, a good should try to turn the page, move on from mistakes and get going. As a teammate, you don’t want to ever single out people or call people out. As I team, we’ve been trying to promote the offensive game at little bit more, have the D jump in. We’ve been trying to keep pucks in and give our offense a chance to get some goals here. Other than that, I think it’s just desperation. There’s nothing wrong with playing with desperation. It’s not OK to play panicked as an individual, but we have to play with team desperation. Right now, we just don’t have enough of it.’’

(on the destructive first-period penalties…)
SCUDERI: “The penalties, I can’t speak for the penalties. They don’t help. I thought we came out with a really good first period, but we were in the box three or four times. It kills your momentum. Whatever momentum we had is over, because now we have to kill a penalty. Like I said, it’s about an overall team attitude. We have to get going as a team here. We’re all in it together, and it’s something where everyone has to step up and do a little bit more to help get us some wins. Dallas pulls out a 2-1 win tonight. Why can’t we do that? That’s the difference.’’
