Kings to honor Bernie Nicholls

The Kings will have the first of their three “Legends Night’’ games of the season tomorrow, when they honor Bernie Nicholls. The Kings will wear their vintage purple-and-gold uniforms and there will be a pregame tribute to Nicholls, who holds the franchise single-season record with 70 goals in 1988-89. Nicholls will also sign autographs inside Staples Center during the game. Bernie is a great guy, and I had a lot of fun talking to him on the phone a few days ago.
