Mitchell possible for Thursday

Willie Mitchell will miss a second consecutive tonight because of his groin injury, but Mitchell skated again today at the end of practice, and Terry Murray indicated that Mitchell might be able to play Thursday against Minnesota. Mitchell, unlike Mike Richards, was not placed on the injured-reserve list, so he will be able to play whenever he’s ready.

MURRAY: “He’s getting closer. He’s feeling better. He’s doing a lot of the cross-over skating out there right now, and shooting. So I think he’s very, very close. Just work it out, keep the therapy going and we’ll take a look at it for the next game.’’
