Scouting the Sharks

This is the second of six meetings this season between the Kings and San Jose Sharks, following San Jose’s 4-2 victory up north on Nov. 7, when the Sharks scored three second-period goals to erase a 1-0 deficit. After a bumpy start, the Sharks have climbed to the top of the Pacific Division. They had a four-game winning streak ended Saturday with a 3-2 loss to Vancouver, but before that, the Sharks had allowed a total of four goals in their previous four games. There’s a little uncertainty with the Sharks’ lineup tonight. Former Kings center Michal Handzus has been ill, and his status for tonight’s game remains uncertain, so the Sharks could end up playing with seven defensemen.
