This is the second of four meetings this season between the Kings and St. Louis Blues, following the Kings’ 5-0 victory at Staples Center on Oct. 18. The Blues hit their low-water mark a couple weeks later, and since Ken Hitchcock replaced Davis Payne as coach, the Blues have a 4-0-2 record. Overall, they’re a fantastic 7-1-1 at home this season. St. Louis will be without Chris Stewart, who is serving the final game of a three-game suspension. A reminder that tonight’s game has an early start — 4:30 p.m. Pacific time — and is a national broadcast on Versus only. For the latest on the Blues, check out today’s item from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, followed by the expected lineups for the Kings and the Blues…

“Pretty snarly,” Hitchcock said when asked to describe the Kings. Love it!

Hope they live up to their “pretty snarly” rep.
Doughty, what happened to those Notorious hip checks?
Jack, show us the MF and stand someone up!
Brownie, do what you do best and set the tone early with some devastating checks.
And Clifford, I miss those all out punching assaults!!
This team needs an identity, being feared is a good place to start.

@Niko, Doughty stopped doing those hip checks after Couture blew by him and scored in last years playoffs.

Kevin Westgarth scores his first NHL goal, passing Dustin Penner on the season and pulling to within just one of SIdney Crosby.

@OnThefly, what were they saying about him?
[Reply]
Westy on the 2nd power play unit. Let the pointmen just rip shots at him in fromt of the net as he gets hacked so Williams/Stoll/Gagne can grab a rebound. Westgarth FTW! Go Kings!
