Jonathan Quick and Jonathan Bernier are each schedules to get a game in goal on the road trip, but Terry Murray did not say which goalie would start tomorrow in St. Louis. Murray also said he had not decided on whether the fourth line would stay the way it practiced today. Dustin Penner and Alec Martinez will both miss the two road-trip games, and Scott Parse remains out indefinitely. More notes and quotes to come…
Time to give Bernier some games I think….Penner in red huh? Rich….can you tell us the difference between the red and yellow?

Money says it’s the “hot” goalie

@Klong, I bet JB in STL and JQ in DAL
[Reply]
poor Parse
Get well Penner-Martinez-Parse…
I hope they change the D pairing like to this
Mitchell – Doughty
Scuderi – JJ
Greene – Voynov
He can play on his off side because he a rookie still and he just plain out good…
I dont get why TM has to mess up everything
two offense/defensive on the same line is a bad thing and its never going to work because they going to be focus on them too much instead of having them in two different lines u will have at least advantage on that with three great players Offense/Defense

@KingsFanFTW, but noo lets put two in the same line and make it easy for them to stop them..
Only advantage is having Voynov but thats it
If u have doughty and JJ in two different lines u have three lines advantage but nope just two lines
and one that they can use for their advantage to them

I’d like to see Penner go back to 2nd LW and Loktionov go to 3rd line center. Stoll going to 4th line. Loktionov centering Richardson and Clifford. Stoll centering Lewis and Hunter/Westgarth.
I think the Moreau experiment has run its course.

@KC23, yet I kept seeing Moreau getting power play time…i could not believe it…why is he out there on the PP? do we really have no better options. Stoll has not scored a goal from the point in 10 years! why is he there? hes gonna hurt someone with his shot 6″ off the ice. the net is only 4′ tall stoll!

@Sebastian, maybe he is looking for a header ala soccer?

@tornado12, haha, are you allowed to header the puck in with a distinct heading motion?

@Sebastian,
Moreau has been on the PP because he’s our only other “big body” that is willing to stand in front of the net for screens on the PP. It’s TM’s system. Get the puck back to the blue line and hope for deflections/screens. There’s a reason why our PP is successful this year, and his name is Richards. He doesn’t follow TM’s BS method. Several times he will jam the puck to the front of the net to keep the PK’ers honest. This opens up passing lanes and everything else.
But quite frankly, why would any team be worried about our PP’s 2nd unit when you have no PP QB, Stoll shooting wide from the point and Moreau on the ice?
Personally I would like to see lokti get a chance with Williams and Gagne on the 2nd unit, with williams in front and Gagne playing the half boards looking to set up lotki or voynov for 1 timers.

@Sebastian, I agree, Stoll is useless out on the power play. That sucked on the one power play when Kopi’s unit was on the ice at the whistle and the 2nd. unit started the power play. I think the score was 2 to 1 at the time. Brutal. they kept the puck in the zone for 90 seconds and didn’t get a shot, but couldn’t change up.

Quick for STL and Bernier for DAL. STL is playing much better than DAL at this point.
[Reply]
I think that Bernier will start at St. louis and Quick will start at Dallas and Quick will have a day off tomorrow because Quick played from last week game and use Bernier to start at St. Louis for tomorrow’s game and Quick will start on Wednesday at Dallas

@Adam M, that would be my guess as well.

What happens if Bernier gets a shut-out in St. Louis? Do you start him again in Dallas?
