Today included a late-morning bus ride to Anaheim and a few hours in a nearby hotel. This is deviating a bit from the traditional “morning” road picture, but very rarely do I got a high-floor room with a view, so I thought I would share it. This is a panorama shot, looking northwest out over Orange (click for a larger version). On an unrelated note, but one that many will appreciate, there will be a Kings broadcast of tonight’s game on Fox Sports West.

I was going to watch on mute, thank goodness!

@Dominick, On Chapman before Harbor? I think it is Pioneer Park, I helped the guy build it. Use to play there years ago. Before that we built one on Brookhurst but the City wanted the land back. Before Brookhurst it was Dale Street in Buena Park. I think that park was Boisseranc Park but that was back in 86-87.

7pm? Thanks, glad i saw that in time. Hey Rob….were you the one i was talking to about a hockey bar in SD a few weeks ago? I went to “Stouts” to watch the Kings/Penguins game. Great place…they had about 4 different center ice games on, lots of hockey memorabilia (mostly vancouver jerseys). I guess maybe the owners are Canucks fans. Great place, lots of people in jerseys, etc.

Ewww, I’d forgotten how smoggy it is there. We have it here occasionally, only they call it an inversion. When I lived there I loved the Santa Ana winds. People thought I was crazy but there is just something about that warm evening wind, plus it helped with the smog. Okay, enough with my trip down memory lane.
Get it on Kings!!!!

OldKingsFan Reply:

@Osaka, Agreed – Don’t get me wrong. I love the Kings and we have a long way to go. we don’t have any nasty players, no scoring depth, and no big shutdown defensemen.
I watch replays of almost every game. And we are weak very weak in all phases of scoring. Who do we have that can sit in front of the net and take the heat? If you watch we don’t have anyone willing to take the abuse to camp infront of the goalie. Take some time and watch what happens on a power play. In most cases the goalie has a clear view of the puck. I can’t tell you how many time the player has actually moved, it seems they are trying to give the goalie a better look. It is almost comical to watch. It is as if they practice the move.
