Kings 1, Ducks 1: Justin Williams took an offensive-zone tripping penalty, and the Ducks tied the game 10 seconds into the power play. Ryan Getzlaf won a faceoff and the puck got to Teemu Selanne, who shot from the middle of the left circle. The Kings need a win tonight to keep the momentum going. They had a losing streak, now are set for a winning streak. I gotta admit, I’m worried about who will match up against Getzlaugh, Cryin, and Katie. It will be interesting to see who TM chooses to face them. I’m guessing RS and MG, but we shall see. I hope the ruskies make a difference tonight, and in a good way!

A good first period in which they dominate in shots, yet have nothing to show from it, including on 2 Power Plays. That could spell trouble. You aren’t going to dominate a team the whole game, and the Kings just dominated a period and are still tied. Didn’t that happen last week too?

Kenny44 Reply:

@CB14, Finishing this kill at the start of the period is crucial. Kings are taking hits to make passes. The longer that goes on without results, though, the more likely those passes start getting rushed and become turnovers.

Of course the TM supporters will say, “Well, it worked, so there”. Kind of reminds me about the Tebow argument going on up in your neck of the woods. His supporters say he wins football games, and with a 3-1 record they are correct, but his detractors say he isn’t an NFL caliber quarterback, and after going 2 for 8 in his last game, they would be correct as well.

But today i had to say Quick<Hiller only reason Because Hiller was on fire and Quick did he saves too dont get me wrong but we were kicking Ducks butts first period and second period and Hiller was saving them all thats the only reason…
Kings should of lost after a joke of 3rd period they pulled off..Williams even if u got that Shootout Goal u need to play smart hockey then taking dumb Penalties in the last couple mins of the 3rd with a 1-0 lead. Not happy with u after these past couple games been playing with fire too much.

big win- if it werent for Hiller the Kings would have won it in Regulation. Brown, Richards, and Loki looked like a real line out there tonight…good news for the team and bad news for Penner…although Brown, by my count, could have easily had 2 goals, but he played a good game anyhow. @Lake Forest, right you are, add # 11 and should be the first 5. Not sure bout Gagne and Richards shoot out skills.
We need to show them what a beast of team we are tomorrow night. Completely crush and demoralize them. I we played with more nastiness, we could be very hard to beat. We have too many players, “above”, getting messy. Battle, make them reluctant to receive a pass. That team should fear the puck coming to them. They’re going to come at us hard, we need to slap them around.

@Scottthekingsfan, Yea I agree to a certain extent…The Kings are a hard working, no nonsense type of team. They could be a little nastier and I think they will be by seasons end. Grit is what will get this team where it needs to be
[Reply]
did they show the 3 stars? hate to admit it but Hiller deserved 2nd star. The Sucks point is all on him.

So glad the Kings won this game. Brown’s contribution was why he’s wearing the C on his jersey. Richards got rewarded after plenty of close calls. I know the Ducks are missing key players but our team looks so much more creative. Go Kings

@Mikey J., yep…Kings needed a little more net presence tonight because Hiller was seeing the puck well

DL should trade Penner for cash and draft choice…get rid of the *&*cker

@g smith86, agreed. DL needs to take a wipping for that trade. Same that sent what’s his name to Tampa…

Yes the Kings should of won this game in regulation, but what a shoot out. Edge of your seat entertainment. Not much of a revelry when your top player is chatting it up with the other team. Who the hell was Kopi talking to anyway. All these guys are out for drink as we speak. Tomorrow both teams will be hung over. Party at Drew’s place on the Strand in Hermosa Beach.

@Cry Baby, That is disgusting to read and even think about, not that there’s anything wrong with that, just that he’s a Quack, and therefore should have no contact what so ever with a King.

Where did Heidi go? Movie star or Press? She’s not working for another team, is she?

Can’t wait to enjoy leftovers at Ponda tomorrow!! Bummed we gave up a point but nice win!

I was home watching the game. Foxie was hilarious! I was laughing so hard re his comment when Kopi hit Hiller’s Movember mask. That was the second highlight of the night, the first being the winning SO goal of Williams.

Did anyone see MR doing the postgame interview with Patrick O’Neal? I love me some MR, the guy is a stud and is a total asset to our team… BUT the guy is horrid in interviews!

Sorry, game never should have gone to shootout. Brown’s goota put that puck in net. Perfect pass from Loktionov
