Roster moves expected today

Today, the Kings are expected to put Scott Parse on injured reserve and activate Colin Fraser for the first time this season. It’s expected that Fraser will play Thursday against Vancouver, and Trent Hunter might also get back into the lineup. There will be more to be learned at practice today, but it’s certainly an opportunity for Fraser. The Kings had planned — even more Parse’s injury — to get Fraser (pictured) into the lineup and give him a chance. It’s been a tough go for Fraser, who was involved in the controversial Ryan Smyth trade with Edmonton, then had late-summer foot surgery and didn’t get into full-team practices until late in training camp. He’s expected to play a fourth-line role initially. Fraser, 26, has played in parts of five NHL seasons and has 16 goals and 25 assists in 224 NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks (with whom he won the Stanley Cup) and the Oilers.
