Postgame notes (Nov. 8)

Some notes from last night’s game…

— The Kings ended their five-game winless streak with a 4-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night at Staples Center.

— The Kings broke an 0-3-2 skid and an 0-2-1 skid at home.

— The Kings scored at least three regulation goals for the third time in 15 games this season, and reached four goals for the third time. The Kings are 5-0-0 this season when they total at least three goals (including overtime and shootout).

— The Kings improved to 3-2-1 at Staples Center, 4-1-3 in one-goal games, 5-1-2 when scoring first and 4-0-0 when leading after the second period.

— Shots were even, 30-30.

— The Kings went 1-for-6 on the power play and 5-for-6 on the penalty kill. The Kings have totaled five power-play goals in their last five games.

— Jonathan Bernier stopped 27 of 30 shots for his first victory of the season, in his third game. Bernier has a career record of 5-1-0 against Nashville.

— Alec Martinez scored a power-play goal, for his first point of the season in his 14th game. Martinez had five goals in 60 games last season, including one on the power play.

— Drew Doughty scored a goal, his first of the season.

— Mike Richards scored a goal, his third of the season.

— Simon Gagne scored a goal. Gagne ranks second on the Kings with five goals this season. He has two goals in his last three games.

— Jarret Stoll had two assists, including one on the power play. Stoll’s first assist gave him 300 career NHL points.

— Justin Williams had two assists, including one on the power play. Williams ranks second on the Kings this season in assists (nine) and points (12).

— Dustin Penner had two assists, for his first multi-point game with the Kings. Penner had one point, an assist, in his first 12 games this season.

— Dustin Brown had one assist, his seventh assist of the season.

— Kyle Clifford had one assist, for his second assist and third point of the season.

— Jack Johnson recorded a team-high five shots on goal. Dustin Brown, Kyle Clifford and Matt Greene each were credited with a team-high four hits. Greene, Alec Martinez and Willie Mitchell each were credited witha game-high three blocked shots.

— Drew Doughty played a team-high 23 minutes, 31 seconds, followed by Willie Mitchell, at 23:01. Mike Richards led all Kings forwards in ice time, at 20:54, followed by Dustin Brown, at 20:29.

— The Kings won 33 of 59 faceoffs (56 perent). Jarret Stoll won 13 of 21 draws (62 percent). Anze Kopitar won 13 of 19 draws (68 percent). Mike Richards won 1 of 10 draws (10 percent).
