Doughty to play; Voynov slotted for AHL

Barring any late-minute setbacks, Drew Doughty is expected to be in the Kings’ lineup tomorrow night against Phoenix, and the team will announce — perhaps not until tomorrow morning — that Slava Voynov will be assigned to Manchester of the AHL. Voynov practiced with the Kings today in case Doughty had any problems, but he didn’t.

As predicted, today was called a “maintenance day” for Simon Gagne, who is expected to play tomorrow. The Kings are expected to go with the same forward lines, and with Jonathan Quick in goal. Terry Murray did not commit to a starter for Sunday’s game at Colorado. More notes and quotes to come…
