Kopitar postgame quotes (Oct. 27)

Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…

(on coming back after giving up two third-period goals…)
KOPITAR: “I think it shows the character of this team. We’ve blown a few leads before, but this was a step in the right direction. They did tie it up, but we pressed on the gas pedal again and we got the job done.’’

(on Voynov’s play…)
KOPITAR: “He’s playing really well. He’s a big part of our power play. He’s logging a lot of minutes in the 5-on-5. He’s playing against the top two lines of theirs, so I’m pretty sure if he keeps it up like that, it might be a tough decision for the head guys.’’

(on scoring five goals after a recent drought…)
KOPITAR: “We were getting chances, even in the last couple games when we didn’t score a lot. We knew if we kept generating chances, sooner or later the flood gates were going to open. Luckily they did tonight, at the right time, when we needed it, and it was a big win for us.’’

    @Belexes, Are you coming around a bit in regards to parse yet?

    @tornado12,
    HAHA, was waiting for that. I still don’t have the same high expectations as some here, but he came through last night and needs to be recognized. I would have no problem at all seeing more of Parse in the lineup, especially when he is as visible as last night. I however also like to see Westie in the lineup so this creates a bit of a problem. lol.
    Anyway, give Parse credit for becoming the “Scooter” last night that the team really needed.

    So we should keep parse in the lineup right? Looks like spliting brown and penner up worked ;)

    @Andrew: the second coming,

    Hey, he was put in for an offensive boost and he produced. I’m not even upset about the penalties tbh because imagine coming in after being the healthy scratch for so long, you’re gonna be fired up. He was trying to be as involved as he could and it worked out!

    @Belexes, Exactly, This was more of a pat myself on the back for being the minority on parse and sticking with saying Brown and Penner need to be on different lines to be affective. Also yes I would be very fired up.

    @Andrew: the second coming, All Parse needed to do was play with a center like Richards or Kopitar and he would be fine. He is a top 6 forward, putting him in the bottom 6 role is like asking Loktionov to play wing…..a waste of time.

    @puck73, I thought I was the only one who thought loki at a wing is a waste of his talents. Anyways a.gillespie21@yahoo.com hit me up with your number or whatever seeing how i am not always on here and I enjoy talking to Kings fans. My mother is a sucks fan-.-and my father watches both lol

    we cant send top scorer of the night back to manchester…..can we? it would be not starting your staring goalie who just recorded his 3rd straight shutout…DD2 will clear waivers keep SV up.

    First period was sloppy, second was better, third was the best even though they didn’t hav a lot of offense.

    Bu-bye Drewiskey…someone has to go and you’re it.

    Perro Reply:

    @Jorgen, I hope you’re right. With a few team looking for defensive help (montreal, NYR) it would be nice to get a mid roudn pick for him instead of loosing him on waivers.
