Kopitar postgame quotes (Oct. 18)

Anze Kopitar’s postgame thoughts…

(on winning the home opener…)
KOPITAR: “We knew that the building was going to be pretty loud and that fans were going to be excited. We were excited to come back. It was a long road trip and I thought we came back on a good note.’’

(on the game…)
KOPITAR: “We played solid throughout the 60 minutes, and that’s the thing that we had lacked in the last couple games, not to play 60 minutes. But tonight I thought it was a real good team effort.’’

(on getting points in four of the first five games…)
KOPITAR: “It’s been really good. The long road trip, sometimes it gets too long and you can have trouble focusing a little bit, but I thought the guys battled through that long trip really well. I thought it showed tonight, that everybody was ready to get the home opener out of the way. The fans were excited and we delievered tonight.’’

(on his saucer pass on Gagne’s goal…)
KOPITAR: “It’s one of those things that happens real quick. You just react out there on the ice. Fortunately for us, it clicked.’’
