Johnson postgame quotes (Oct. 15)

Some quick Jack Johnson quotes before the flight…

(on the overtime goal…)
JOHNSON: “Mike (Richards) made the play. He kept it in on the blue and, as soon as he started kind of walking to the middle, I had a feeling he was kind of looking for the pass. He wound up and made a great play to freeze everyone, and all I did was deflect it. He made the whole play by keeping it alive in the zone and then making a great fake shot. I had a feeling he was going to do it.’’

(on the extra joy for Mike Richards in his return to Philadelphia…)
JOHNSON: “We’re all pretty relieved. He made a great play. He played a great game. He’s a world-class player.’’

(on scoring two game-winning goals in the first four games…)
JOHNSON: “Same thing on both goals, really. I had the easy job, just going to the back post and trying to get lost back there. Richards made two great plays.’’

(on ending the road trip with a win…)
JOHNSON: “We’ve been on the road for something like 16 days and we only got two road games out of it. So it’s going to be nice getting on the plane to go home, for sure.’’
