Morning in New Jersey

Two seasons ago, before I started doing the morning hotel-room pictures, we were in Newark. From my hotel window, I could see the Manhattan skyline, but because of time constraints, I knew there was no way I would be able to get into the city. I stood, looking at New York, knowing I would have to stay in Newark, and that remains the single most depressing work-related moment of the last two years. Now it’s a different hotel, and look, it’s green! Not much of a view on a cool, misty morning. The Kings will be on the ice for their morning skate at the Prudential Center — “The Rock” — shortly.
