Murray updates Penner’s status

Here’s what Terry Murray said today, after practice, about the status of Dustin Penner, who has a “lower-body injury.” Penner came out for the start of practice today but left early and will not play tomorrow against the Rangers.

MURRAY: “Dustin Penner is still feeling, not feeling great. He’s probably about 80 percent. He was out there (on the ice) for 40 minutes today, which is an improvement from the practice that we had in Hamburg. It was probably 30, 35 minutes there. So it’s improving. It’s going to take some time. He’s not going to be ready for tomorrow. We’ll just continue the rehab and get him some ice time and continue to push it until he feels comfortable and back off now and give him the opportunity to get better.”
