Here’s my LAKings.com game recap for tonight, with stats and pictures included. Thanks for reading…
The Kings will fly to Las Vegas in the morning in advance of tomorrow night’s “Frozen Fury” game against Colorado. I will pass along news of any roster cuts when it is available.
Nice to see Richie (Mike) get on the board.. Have fun in Vegas everyone. I’m jealous!

Thanks Rich for all the info. I just had a question regarding the trip over to Europe. Someone the other day said that he had heard that Bob and Jim weren’t traveling with the team to Europe, and instead were going to call the game from L.A. Do you know if that’s true? It seemed odd to me when I read it. Thanks, and have fun in Vegas!
P.S. Always bet on Black!

@CB14, Another question on the Europe trip. There are four teams opening in Europe, Kings, Ducks, Sabres, Rangers, and all are playing 2games. The Ducks and Sabres are each considered the home team for one of their games, and the visitor for the other. The Rangers are the visitor for both their games, while the Kings are the home team for their 2games. This means LA plays one less actual home then Buf, and Ana, and two less then all the rest of the NHL teams. Considering the advantage of playing “at home”,(excluding the last line change provision) it seems Kings are getting a bit short changed. Why are LA and NYR not divided up in Europe one home, one away game?

@Jimbo1007, because the the deal that AEG swang with the NHL since it’s their buildings that are taking the gate… that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

@CB14,
We met Bob MIller at Staples during the Wednesday game against the Ducks. We were sitting on the same row as his family was (sec 114, row 17) He said they’d set up a studio in LA from where they’ll broadcast the feed they get from Europe. He also said he’s never done anything like it before. I think Bob & Foxie will join the team for the east coast games when they come from Europe.
Both games in Europe count against the Kings as home games. Someone did not pay someone enough to use fairness into making the schedule.

@Gustavo, AEG, the Kings parent company, owns the areas in europe they are playing in.

Dominick Reply:

@KC23,
I think the Kings are the ones who put this whole deal together and pitched it as “the Kings will make the sacrifice” on a home game, to attract a team like New York to join us there. AEG would make the same amount of money regardless, even if the Kings were listed as the road team.

Tonite some of the insiders met inside Mandalay Bay, after the original plan to meet at the piano bar didnt quite come off because apparently their was a big Line to get in. after meeting where the tram lets off at MB, we went thru the casino and settled on a place called Eye Candy. That was a great description of it because their certainly was alot of that walking around !
Anyway, we settled in a circular booth and drank beer, and mixed drinks for about 2 hours and talked about the Kings, the NHL, and peoples backgrounds. The people that attended were as follows..@OnTheFly, @ShotOnGoal and his girlfriend, @LittleRhody and his friend Danielle, @KinginSaltLake, @Cortex949, and the entertaining @HappyLappy!
This get together was really fun and lively with dance music going on and I cant wait to see everyone tomorrow at MGM, Goodnite everyone.

Schneider has a good status record so far. So, what do you think of a deal, where if Corey Schneider would like to join the Kings we could send Bernier to Manchester?

I managed to get into the game last night and had a few observations:
1) most importantly, AK took it to the net with authority again. If he can do this at least once a game he will become MORE dominant then we’ve ever seen.
2) Gagne looked like he’s learning an entirely new system out there. He looked lost, a lot. At one point he and AK were out and the other forward who was looking to change was skating to the bench and all three of them came together and bumped heads like the ghosts in pacman… he needs to be better than that.
3) In the 3rd, Richards took a nasty shove into the boards and no one stepped up. Granted there were no tough guys on the ice for us, but our C was out there and should have at least given a shove to the perp on his way up the ice. I didn’t like that at all. Simmer will be missed.
4) DD2 looked slow and lumbering. I can’t see him making the team over Voynov, who also dind’t look great but his upside is much greater and has not yet been realized.
5) AK is such a beauty to watch. His set up for Willie was grade A. He makes it look so easy. (Just to harp on the subject, AK also was getting the business a little more than he should get, especially when he would come off for a change, whichever Duck was coming off at the same time would give him a stick or a shove in the back…and no one responded). I hope we don’t get the “soft” label.
Otherwise, glad we won, sad Richards flubbed the EN at the end, but glad AK got to pad the stats.
Oh, almost forgot:
6) Richardson looked really good out there. He’s ready to drop the biscuit for real.

If Player X was saying that Corey Schenider will join with the LA Kings and Kings training camp that Jonathan Bernier was a okay goalie so far sometimes he always missed the puck a lot if the LA Kings made to a shootout and Bernier is doing awful to a shootout and if the Kings will get Corey Schneider for a exchange deal for bernier to the Manchester
