This is one of the posters that was being used in and around the Sprint Center to promote tonight’s game. The Kings’ Drew Doughty and the Penguins’ Sidney Crosby. Crosby’s recovery from concussion symptoms isn’t funny, of course, but what a poster, huh?

hey marketing guy, you’re FIRED!

Obviously, the posters were designed long ago! Let’s go Kings!
[Reply]
What is sad is that the oine on the left wants almost as much as the one on the right. But Crosby has led his team to a Cup and been at the top of the leaugue in scoring in the past.
Go figure.

This is wrong everywhere..why is Drew on the side with the Penguins logo and Crosby on the side of the Kings logo. And why isn’t Kopi on there instead?

@Brig33,
You got it wrong.
Drew is messed in the Head, His own fault.
Crosby is Messed because of Concsussion.
[Reply]
Hey Rich, can you get me one of those? I can pick it up opening night at Staples Center?
[Reply]
Needless to say, the Kings faithful are losing respect for Doughty. And the longer this goes on, I’d be curious to see the fans’ reaction when he plays his first home game…. I LOVE that Dean is sticking to his guns, and sending the message that this is about building a contender for years to come. Amen! We all want to see that, and to anyone who’s not on board, I say there’s the door!
[Reply]
They might as well have put Gretzky & Lemieux on the poster!
[Reply]
Be funnier if the poster was made yesterday to make fun of the fact that neither player is available. I say “Good Job to somebody”. lol
[Reply]
It’s not just the people who design the posters who don’t know much about hockey in KC. The Kansas City Star newspaper, quoted Kings Head Coach BRYAN Murray in an article yesterday. LOL. http://www.kansascity.com/2011/09/26/3168643/sprint-center-sells-out-nhl-exhibition.html#ixzz1Z6bkdAN9

@swedishassasin, Searched everywhere. Nobody is commissioned to televise or video stream the game at all. NHL may have highlights later, but that’s it.

Hockey will always be nothing more than a mild distraction between Chiefs losses in Kansas City.
[Reply]
Hey if I’m in the graphics department I say, “Hey I read both GM’s saying no way those two guys would ever be traded so as long as you make sure they always play a pre-season game at the Sprint Center on September 27th I just saved you some money in future years.”
[Reply]
Don’t know about you, but that is a valuable poster…
Steal it!
Sell it on EBay…
[Reply]
This is almost as bad as the Kings tickets this year, Doughty is printed on every 3rd or 4th game (including the opening preseason game)!

Someone should take a marker and put a mustache on DD.

Interesting poster with 2 elite players with head problems for very different reasons.
Having gotten that out of my system I hope to GOD that Drew comes to his senses about what he is worth right now.
Your only 21 and came into camp last year in something other than perfect shape.
Prove your a pro and you will get pro money.
[Reply]
Do we have a #8 on the team? Did we pick him up from the minors? Which is that Guy?
[Reply]
“But that’s just not given to you. You earn that, that leadership. You need the respect from your teammates, which he has, and you have to earn that every year, which he will again this year. It’s part of maturing, and he’s on the right path.” – Martin St. Louis
That’s his thoughts on the maturation of Stamkos, and his role as a potential leader on the team. If Doughty ever sees himself as a leader, these words should resonate.

That picture should be on the side of a milk carton.
