Monday practice update

Neither Kevin Westgarth nor Jake Muzzin will make the two-game preseason trip, as both will stay back to continue to be evaluated after their respective big hits.

Terry Murray spoke further about his displeasure with Scott Parse’s play and said there would be competition for that third-line right-wing spot.

The Kings will soon announce that defenseman Alex Roach has signed a three-year entry-level contract and that winger Cam Paddock has signed a one-year contract. [corrected] Roach will return to junior hockey with the Calgary Hitmen while Paddock will join the Manchester Monarchs’ training camp. Training camp is now down to 32 players.
