Non-sequitur evening post

Here are three Kings-related items that have absolutely nothing in common…

First, reporters following two of his former teams first reported that veteran forward Trent Hunter will sign a pro-tryout agreement with the Kings and attend training camp. Just to be clear, that doesn’t signify any real commitment, other than that Hunter will be given a chance to compete for a job in camp. Hunter, played 17 games for the New York Islanders last season before he was traded to New Jersey and had his contract bought out in July. Hunter has 229 points in 459 career NHL games.

Second, prepare your eyes. The Kings held their annual charity golf tournament today, and via Twitter you can experience the stylings of Rob Scuderi and Matt Greene by clicking here. (do not adjust your screen)

Finally, several of you have asked about videos from Hockey Fest, most notably the always-entertaining “kids’ press conference.” The videos are starting to emerge, and here’s one featuring Jonathan Quick, Kevin Westgarth, Kyle Clifford and Matt Greene.
