A few items to ease your way into the weekend…
First, via Twitter, Jonathan Quick has been displaying the new set of gear that he will use when the Kings wear their vintage purple-and-gold jerseys. Last year, Quick went with a brown ensemble, as a nod to Rogie Vachon, but this year he’s going more traditional with the colors. Click to see Quick’s pads and blocker.
Also, the latest in the LAKings.com “My Story” series takes a look at Mike Richards, who details his path from youth hockey to the NHL. Learn more about Richards by clicking here.
Finally, for those who didn’t see, former Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy — who left the team last summer after charges that were eventually dropped — has been hired as an assistant coach by the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ ECHL affiliate. There were two great stories this week by the San Bernardino Sun and FoxSportsWest.com.
