@Sparman, Yeah try walking out to your car in a Kings Jersey! It was 18,000 against me. But I got the last laugh

@408kingsfan, same here. Multiple people tried to fight me. Security was good though.

Kopi! It must be killing him not being able to play in this series.
[Reply]
All I can say is if we win Game 7 the Kings are going to really enjoy giving it to that guy at the tunnel entrance.

poor Kopi at least he travels still and support this team

sorry for the repost, Big props to TM, He’s has made mistakes but
what coach hasn’t? there are plenty of
coaches whose teams are watching the
playoffs who would give their left n*t to be
in! He has us playing the right scheme. we
don’t have the snipers that some teams have
sooo they’ve got to shut teams down as
opposed to outscoring them. And he can’t
monday morning quarterback as we tend to,
good on you tm! Now let’s bang the tankers
on monday! btw Happy Easter all!

very nice.

God I’m sure that’s just killing Kopi not being able to play. He’s going to be that much more motivated next season I’m sure. BTW, how long does it take to recover when that type of ankle injury? Anyone know?

@Goring 19, It was pretty much the same injury as JW last year. He came back too soon though it seemed so I’d say somewhere between 3 and 4 months. Right about when pre-season gets going I’d say. He’ll have enough time, but will likely have a slow start I’m thinking.

@KC23, JW came back in 3 months, however his legs weren’t strong enough so his power and skating was diminished, which is why he was scratched. For Kopi the 3-4 months will bring him into June-July, so he should have 2-3 months to to work out his legs and get his power and strength back in them. He should be 100% by training camp. Hopefully the left wing will be gotten (whether it is Penner or someone else) so Kopi won’t have to worry so much about carrying the team in the beginning. Whether it is Penner or someone else (Parise maybe) I expect a huge year for Kopi next season, especially if this team beats the Sharks and goes on further in the playoffs. Will bring a lot of motivation for Kopi.

@Goring 19, i did the same thing playing soccer in high school the foot actually turned a full 90 degrees though because soccer cleats are keeping you in place like a skate would, but i had a cast on for a few months once it was off i was able to play hockey and soccer again with full strength after 2 months…so 4 to 5 months back to 100% i think

From that type of ankle injury (sic)

@Goring 19, Well, he’s on crutches, so clearly he won’t be around for the Stanley Cup Finals with the rest of the team, except to support. If I recall, he tore all kinds of goodies in there, so that will take months and months. And months. I hope he’s back by the start of next season…

cameo by Heidi also!!!!

This is coming from the one and only King in Salt Lake…… Good Morning and may the spring time bring to all a new birth in whatever you do. I sit here wondering about our Kings. Last night I was at Peace with how our season had unfolded. It seemed right that we would not Die on the road. Warriors we have been throughout this season. So full of highs and lows, yet we continue to fight at all cost. Quick last night was like a brick wall and for him he needed that. I’m sure the taste of giving up all them goals at home is a little more manageable. Now he really has a chance to redeem himself and help us force a game 7. Will it happen? Only the God’s know, I guess. One thing is for sure, We thee Kings fans will be there as always loud and looking for the win. This year has been one of the hardest to get through, yet it’s been epic. A game 6 win will show us fans the heart of a Champion, Yet, will the season continue. I don’t know. Are good enough to beat these Sharks, I really don’t care. All I know is that this team won’t go out so damn easily. We die hard!!!!! As the Kings came off the ice after last nights win, you could tell that they were battle tested and in a fight, to be in a fight you must of fought, a battle hard fought is a battle won. We won the battle, but the War rages on. This time for a great battle on the shores of LA. Fight on you battle tested Warrior’s, if dieing is in the Will of the God’s. Then die with Honor—- Long Live The Kings

@kinginsaltlake, I refuse to believe we can lose 5 home playoff games in a row. I wish we would go away from those 3rd jerseys.

@KC23,
Hope you’re prepared to see those jerseys as the home jerseys for every game next year..
Might as well try and learn to like them..
I don’t like them either, but they aren’t going away.

I love the fact that there wasn’t a lot of celebration after the game. It appears as if the Kings know they have a lot more work ahead of them and are focused on the task at hand.
Let’s get tomorrow night and put them back on their heels.
Go Kings!

@KingsOfComedy, He made some effective checks and had some decent O zone coverage. I was one of the guys early on saying that he should be a healthy scratch, but I feel he has earned his keep against a big aggressive Sharks team.

How cool is Westy. This makes me want to get that enforcer jersey.
[Reply]
Rich, perhaps you can address this during the slow summer months. I’m sure there’s folks here that can answer but I kinda like Rich’s “officialness” of things Kings.
There’s always a reason or superstition for almost everything hockey. I loved how Crosby & Malkin worked out who would be the last one on to the ice for a game. I’m wondering about Westgarth being the last to leave the ice for the Kings. How did this come to be and what the why behind it? I do think it’s kinda cool being his “enforcer” role- he’s protecting the guys leaving… but that may just be poetic license.

@Scarletcat, I’ve notice this too and have actually commented on it once. Last year it was Jones always off the ice last, this year, mostly it’s Westy. I’ve been wondering about this too.
