Jonathan Quick’s postgame thoughts…
(on his shootout success…)
QUICK: “I’ve been getting a lot of help. We have to be up near the top as far as goals scored in the shootout. That goes a long way, especially when we shoot first. Like Zeus tonight, he gets a goal right off the bat and it gives me a little more confidence. Stolly, Brownie, everyone has been great. Kopi has been great. It makes it a lot easier for me.”
(on getting to the playoffs with the recent injuries…)
QUICK: “We’ve got a lot of character in the locker room. We noticed that a little earlier in the season, when we went through a couple slumps and found ourselves out of the top eight. We went and won some big games on the road, in some tough arenas, and these guys continued to compete, and it’s a pleasure being in net for them.”
Yea Lets go Kings
Quick be Sharp for the playoffs

if the stanley playoffs went a shoot-out (and i’m glad they don’t) we’d win the cup because of you, Quicker, BECAUSE OF YOU!! …. and Stollie!

Look, I don’t want to be a nag here, but Smyth is a real problem at the moment.
There were three times when he was so slow behind the Yotes net, he actually obstructed our own guys!
I know nothing can be done, but man, figure out SOME way to contribute to the team.
End of Rant

@IceGuy, I agree, but I disagree about the plays you are talking about. He wasn’t in the way as much as the other guys didn’t play the way he thought they were going to. That happens when you are playing with guys you don’t know (i.e. Brown).

A split with the Ducks should be enough to play the Preds in the first round, losing both might mean playing Vancouver or San Jose so stay focused boys!
Celebrate, but not too much!

Quick 10 and 0 in the shootout, just ridicioulus. And the record with Poni in the lineup..39-14-6 and with Mitchell in the lineup…35-15-5. I would have ta say that those 2 free agent signings were kind of important..Thanx Dean Lombardi !

He’s not playing both games against the Sucks……..is he?? I think he starts on Fri in Ana and JB goes on Sat…….

I’d put up Bernier in the Quackhouse, and Quick to finish off the season. Bernier’s going to want to prove he’s hungry. Gives us as good a shot as any at winning both.

@What’s the frequency, Kenneth?, i agree Bernie then Quick

Makes me wonder, if Quick only does well in shootout wins actually because of our strong defensive system and play from our D-men?

quick should play sat night in front of the home crowd. he got us where we are right now. go quick.

Typical Quick. They ask about his shootout success, a 1v1 activity, and the first thing he does is complement his teammates on scoring so many goals.

@sstephen17,
I saw that comment and I’d have to look but I doubt the Kings are anywhere close to the top in %’s.
Stoll and Zeus were good but the rest were so so and Quick’s won several in the 6th round.
