Scott Parse was back on the ice toward the end of today’s practice, and for some extra post-practice skating. Parse said he has been skating for approximately a half-hour a day, but when I asked him how he was feeling, he said, “OK.” That’s it, just “OK.” Parse indicated that there was nothing to get excited about until he started practicing, and didn’t have an idea as to when that might be. Presumably, not soon. When I asked Terry Murray today about Parse’s status, he said, “I’m not even penciling that in right now, because it’s been so long.”
Also, on an unrelated note, keep a sharp eye out for the final “Undisputed” video, on this very special day…
Hah, that is hilarious!

LOL. Rich, you are AWESOME. And this is UNDISPUTED.
Kudos for battling through that career threatening thumb injury!
hahaha

Love the last Undisputed Rich!
You were brilliant! Ever thought about going into acting?
[Reply]
Haven’t been able to watch video so I have no clue…..but unrelated, I think if the Kings win their 3 remaining home games, which they should, because isn’t that the point of home ice advantage, then they will be set for playoff time. Any points grabbed in the 2 roadies will just be bonus. I’m not worried about last nights game.
[Reply]
Great vid. Had no idea about the thumb injury…way to come back the way you have…amazing story. I’ll be sharing this story with my kids for sure…life lessons.
[Reply]
Best undisputed yet! Imagine the adversity he had to go through with the sprained thumb, I just dont think I could have gotten through it.

Great job on the video Rich, I love the reference to Back to the Future.

Stroke of genius there, Rich. That’s made my night.

The Kings will finish with 101 pts, 4th place and face Anaheim in 1st round of playoffs. THIS IS NOT AN APRIL’S JOKE!!!

Wow Rich-
Completely in-depth and soul bared for all to see. I can relate to your story my friend.
I grew up in the open plains of Fountain Valley and we used to communicate with rocks. We would throw them at each other one at a time, one word on each rock. Since we couldn’t throw very far, we had to use small rocks. Once you got the message, you had to keep the rocks in order and throw them to the next house. Accuracy was key. Miss a rock and the whole post was ruined! It was time-consuming, but effective. It’s also a reason why my right arm is so much bigger than my left. Everyone thinks it’s for other reasons, but they’re just sick people. Damn city folk.
Computer monitors were great rock catchers until we acually learned how to use them. Life got easier after that.
The players understand what makes or breaks them. The game just pays bills. The press keeps the bills paid. If people stop reading or liking you, you’re done. Off to the beer leagues in Nome, Alaska or Longtooth, Kansas. It’s a heavy responsibility to spell their names correctly. You should be getting gifts from these guys every year like lineman get from their quarterbacks: Vacations, Fancy Watches, Hook…..errrr, uh, assistants, etc. Without you, nobody would actually talk about them, just yell at them and talk to themselves.
The ONLY thing I am truly upset about is your omission of the most important moment in your career when you first touched the Juraj Mikus jersey. Since that moment, you’ve had international recognition, first class accomodations, Endorsement deals (Diet Coke for instance, as seen in your undisputed episode. What’d you get for that? 6 large? can’t believe less for that.). You need to show respect to the man who truly gave you your big break. The power of Juraj Mikus should not be ignored. It’s no coincidence your career path took a major upswing from that moment. I had nothing to do with it, the jersey chose YOU!
Overall, incredible story Rich. Thanks for sharing it. You’re a brave man….

Too funny Rich. Too funny. So you Do have a sense of humor. Ah, we all knew that anyway.
Hope you’re finger is doing better though.

Great video Rich, but what I want to know about the thumb injury is,how would TM discribe it?,would it be a lower body injury if your hand was down at your side,or would it be an upper body injury if you were scratching your head?,hmmm.

My parents used to communicate to other villages by beating on drums. I found it easier to use smoke signals, until I set fire to my parents hutt. Later some missionaries gave me a computer and I learned to blog.
