Rich,
Have you ever visited the huge West Edmonton mall? I think it still counts as the biggest in North America.

@Canadian King,
Just after the Mall in America expanded to claim the tital away from it the West Edmonton mall expanded and took back the title.

It’s unusuually cold for this time of year here. Hovering around 0 degrees Celsius

Just wondering, since everyone in the media has pretty much determined that we are no longer a true contender, are we the underdogs tonight? Our team seems to play better when it really feels it has something to prove, so my faith in the Kings remains true. GKG, 2 more points, and another small step to the Cup!

@Harry, maybe the 7th spot wouldn’t be too bad with the goalie issues DET is having…

DesertKing Reply:

@Stuart,
I was thinking the same thing. The only problem is, how do you work it so that you end up in 7th without risking falling out of the playoffs altogether. I think we need to ensure that we win this one to give us more maneuvering room down the road, especially since our remaining games are against other playoff contenders who are very tough to win against. I agree with you Detroit with goaltending issues would be a good first round match-up for us.

@DesertKing, At this point we could win out and it would still be a lottery as to where we land in the standings. I’m still hoping for 5 through 8 somewhere given how much better we’ve been on the road. I’m confident our defense is strong enough to carry us fairly deep if the old adage of defense wins championships, then we build even stronger for next year. Looking forward to the next few years here.
Time to sweep up this series. Make it so Kings, 2 more points!

Wonder if old DP is gonna score tonight… Lets hope so. You would think he knows his “own” goalies weak points.

AZ King Reply:

@KingsGuy,
It goes both ways though. The goalie know Pens tendencies. Should be interesting to see which one comes out on top. Either way I expect a great performance tonight from the Kings.

All Canadians are nice! What we are facing now is why I believe building a team from the draft is so important for us fan’s. It’s really hard to get up for rental player’s but when you draft and build from within, we are able to follow the kid’s like Schenn and know they will be on our team soon and many more to come. I’m not a big fan of the Penner trade but understand why it was made. Still we lost a #1 and possibly a great young talent.

@garry,
Just add [s] for plural words: dog -> two dogs, one fan -> two fans
Add ['s] for possessive words: Garry’s house, the cat’s paw, the player’s wife
____________________________
If you get those two rules, there’s one more:
Add [s'] for plural possessives: the three boys’ bikes, the players’ wives
Hope this helps.
[Reply]
Lets go boys, grab four on this trip. No three point games, no points to split.
All of LA and all of your fans are behind you and believe. Brown “C” and Green “A”, let the boys know what they have to pull out of them selves what they can prove to them selves and every-one whos behind them.
GKG.

@Steveoviper, 3 point game wouldn’t be bad as long as the kings pick up the 2. Oilers are out of the playoff race. It would be nice if we were to smash these guys though and send a message that we are good even without our top two guys. If Lewis and moller play like NHL’ers and the kings win…. Our playoff hopes look a lot better.

I, like many of you, am a long time Kings fan. Growing up in LA in the 70′s, I watching the Kings at the Forum, skated at Culver Ice Rink imagining that I was on the Triple Crown line, and watched the Kings games on Channel 9 from the edge of my seat. I was fortunate to have worked for the Kings (indirectly) during the 92-93 season and got to meet (and skate) with some of my heroes and most honest, approachable, and kind professional athletes I have ever met. This solidified my Kings loyalty even as I moved to a state with another team (Stars) and a budding hockey community. My son is 15 months old, has a nerf hockey net, and sits on my lap as I watch the Kings on the internet – when available. I know that I speak for many of you when I say, I am very proud of where this organization is, has come from, and where it is going. Losing Anze and JW is a tremendous blow for this team and this season. I know that these “kids” will step up and, honestly, all I hope for is that they play with heart, respect, and appreciation for this game and this team. Sure, I want them to succeed but more importantly I want this team to learn and experience what it means to not only play in the NHL but to wear the Kings uniform. Even if this season ends without the SC, playing with heart, respect, and appreciation will benefit them, their team mates, and their fans for many years to come. Go Kings.
