The Kings took a 1-0 lead with 9:30 remaining in the first period. The puck came off the left boards in the Colorado zone, and Willie Mitchell one-timed it from the top of the left circle. Anze Kopitar got the deflection as the puck got to the net and beat Avalanche goalie Peter Budaj.
What the hell is that logo on the glass behind the goaltenders saying Toyota? I wasn’t aware the Kings needed more money from advertising considering Staples center gets sold out for virtually every Kings game. Terrible and distracting get rid of it please.

@TheAcaciaStrain,
Not going to happen. Most of the other NHL arenas have the same advertising system.

@TheAcaciaStrain, It’s computer generated. Not there if you are in the stadium, TV only.

@370455VinSD, yeah that doesn’t mean it’s not distracting and bothersome to fans. How do you know it’s not going to happen I haven’t seen it there before, it’s the first game it shows up there, and it’s really damn noticeable.

@TheAcaciaStrain, I think that is only visible on TV, not there in person. Can anyone at the game confirm?

@Kings win, Ducks lose, Absolutely, it’s the same technology that MLB uses for ads behind the plate and the NHL uses for the first down line.

@Kings win, Ducks lose,
100% TV only. You can also confirm on TV from different camera angles.

@TheAcaciaStrain, I think that might be FWS’S doing, not the kings

@TheAcaciaStrain,
Funny how everyone thinks the ad is on the glass itself. Just goes to show, you can’t always believe what you see.

@wavesinair, Doesn’t matter if it’s just on TV, that just means that Staples center isn’t being really inconsiderate to the people sitting in the seats behind it. If FSW is doing it, they had to have talked it over with the Kings they can’t just add advertising to a broadcast there’s rights and ownership to the broadcasts.

Kopi ends up with the goal, I guess it is too much to ask for 2 goals in 2 games from Mitchell

i thought oscar did a great job at forechecking down low and keeping pressure on the puck and helping the kings keep the puck in the zone on the goal. good hustle oscar!!

Dear DL,
Thank you for signing Willie Mitchell and tradig for Dustin Penner. They are truly contributing and even making Kopi better.
