The Kings took the lead less than two minutes after they tied the game. Oscar Moller pushed the puck into the high slot, where Willie Mitchell settled it and beat Niemi with a slap shot. Ryan Smyth also picked up an assist as the Kings took a 2-1 lead at the 9:07 mark.
This is ALL BROWN! He was all over the place!

I was worried about Moller when Foxy or Miller mentioned that he had a coaching session from Kompon.

Oscar with the nice play off the boards to keep the play alive, he gets the puck down low, he drives to the net, gets the dish from Smyth, gets a shot off in a prime scoring area, the rebound goes right up the middle to Willie and he smashes a slapshot.
Sweet shift for the “guy who’s too small.” The fact is, he produces. He did it the last time he was here and he’s already paying dividends with an assist tonight. Gotta love this kid!

That’s an old rule xero. You can be in the crease when a goal is scored just as long as you don’t interfere with the goalie.

Good time for our off-season pick-ups to shine..
Brownie is on fire and the little viking shoots
the puck on net every chance he gets..
That’s something that we don’t see enough of..

Moller is flying out there! He even looks bigger than the last time he was up. It was also nice to see that the first team to score a goal within 2 minutes of us scoring a goal was us! GKG!

Keeping all things realistic, I don’t know we can ask more of this kid Moller coming up here and performing. Sad it took loosing Willy to make this happen, but this kid is doing his part.
If he nets a goal, it will be raving success for him.
Go Kings Go!

@Garrett,
I think Oscar is trying to guarantee himself at least a spot on the roster for the playoffs if Williams needs surgery (hope this isn’t the case). If he doesn’t get the spot there.. this should guarantee him a spot on the roster next year.

i swear poni and brown need to be together on a line… take smyth off the second line

Smyth looks a little better today. He made a couple of plays to intercept passes that eventually lead to the 2nd goal. Now he needs to get back his scoring touch.
