Not even the refs could beat us tonight. They tried on Boyle’s shot, but they couldn’t do it!

@Gerard, They also tried by calling us offside when the puck was clearly on the blue line, and earlier called one by the sharks in when it was cleasly out,,,and you hardly ever see that call blown,,,but anything they can do to screw the Kings,,,never say never when you think you’ve seen it all

I liked Moller’s game, he played a bit bigger, more physically than when we last saw him. We’ll see how the every-other-day grind against the bug boys in the Show wears on him, but so far, so good. He had 5 shots, so keep em coming, Oscar.
Penner has disappeared quickly.. I hardly noticed him out there. And what’s up with putting him out in the shootout? Is JJ in the permanent shootout doghouse now?
Handzus has been better the last 5 games or so, so I give him credit after a long, grueling season. Smyth… not so much. I think he only made a few passes that even when to his own team and once he’s behind the net I know nothing will happen and he’ll eventually lose possession. Hopefully it won’t come down to the final games for the Kings and they can rest him the last weekend.
Is it just me or do you wonder why Stoll misses the net so much on shots during the game but in the SO he can shoot the wings off a fly? Just do some wristers, Stoll!
A fun game to watch! A rollercoaster, like most Western Conference games lately.

They were playing a very good team and outshot them 38/28. The Kings gave up the lead? Didn’t SJ give up the lead? Does SJ suck? It is playoff type hockey where one mistake will bite you….. and the Kings won! They never quit, they overcame shifts in momentum. Great game, awesome!

@KingsFanFTW, We really don’t need to worry about shootout wins being a tiebreaker anymore. We have so many more shootout wins (thank you Quick and Stoll) than anybody else, that that tiebreaker is pretty much automatically against us. Two points is all that matters now, any way we can get them. Even if it means San Jose gets a point, who cares?.. We got our two. Its time now to take our hands off the wheel, and enjoy this great ride deep into the playoffs. Loved Mollers game tonight, and of course Brown and Quick….

Best live game I’ve been to in my life (only make a few a year). Like others said, the refs couldn’t even beat us!! Loved how Stoll refused to take his shot until the refs cane and talked to Murray. That goal should NOT have counted, he skated backwards and slightly went back up the ice. That doesn’t matter though because El Capitan made it happen. Just back from the game. BIG 2 pts tonight! I’m a little worried that we’re giving up leads late in the game lately, we need to fix it before the playoffs.
Brownie was HUGE tonight! I thought Moller looked good as well, great speed and handles the puck well.
Future looks bright with all our skilled KIDS.
DD,Quick,Bernier,Simmer,Cliffy,Martinez,OM,Lokti,Scheen. Can’t wait for upcoming yrs.
Btw, what did Boyle’s goal look on replay? Live it looked like he stopped moving the puck????

Fun game tonight. Would’ve liked to see them hold on for a regulation win, but San Jose really is on top of their game right now. They put up a good fight and didn’t want to lose. Really liked the compete level tonight from our boys. Brownie was a monster out there tonight! Even without the goals, he really set the tone all game long. One shift earlier, he had two impressive hits in a row. When he does that, he creates more space and it seems to help his offensive game too. I wish he played like that every night.
Moller looked really good out there with Kopitar too. I liked some of the reads they were making off each other. Some didn’t connect, but I like what I saw. Moller looks more determined at this point than Lokti did earlier in the year . I think he get’s that he can’t hang back and kind of try to feel things out now. He seemed to be ready to just go out and play to his strengths.
And Quicker is lights out! He had some pretty fantastic saves tonight. Even though 3 got by him, the saves he did make more than make up for those. I tell you, he’s the best goalie we’ve ever had here. PERIOD. I’m glad we have Bernier to cut him some slack, but I think it’s pretty clear that if we’re going to challenge for a cup in the future, Quicker will be the reason for it. If we could get him consistent offensive support, so he didn’t have to cling to one goal leads all the time, This team would be dominant. Out…

Moller was very good tonight – if he plays like he did tonight he will do just fine on the first line replacing Williams.
Quick was very, very good except for the 2nd goal – that was a bad goal.
good to see the power play work a little better – might be time to break up JJ and Doughty though
refs gave SJ one point with the no call on the offsides on the first goal. they must have been 5 feet offside on the right wing. glad the Boyle goal didn’t cost us a point.

The NHL really needs to examine it’s officiating. Credibility in a pro sport is one thing you can never lose, and I’m afraid it’s beginning to go that direction. The league should evaluate their officials after each game, and also put in some sort of instant replay. If nothing else maybe this will make these guys pay a little more attention during the game if they know their calls are going to be reviewed. We also need to do something about the war room in Toronto. Do these guys ever reverse a ruling, or are they just rubber stamps for the on-ice officials? Sure seems like they are out to get us some nights. I hear some people say it all even out in the end, but this season seems like about 10 – 1 against us in bad calls.
