@Harty,
Thanks Oscar for showing the Kings how to get back to the basics of offense. I’m digging your game, so far.

Now those are the LA Kings that we know and love. Great second period, total domination and forcing SJ to take bad penalties. Keep it up boys!
[Reply]
Best period of the home stand. Undisputed (haha). Now don’t back off 1 inch in the 3rd. Play the exact same way.

I HATE dounuts on the PP. He is so greedy and creates nothing for all his puck hogging.
It’s awful.
I’m going to stick to what I’ve said this past month, package him and trade him for something in the off season.
I’m not saying free, but go get us a big time player with Doughty as part of the package.
He’s just not it.

Give him a little time. He’s a great player. He will mature and learn even more. Trading him would not be smart. Giving up on youth too early has been the Kings problems for years. Have some faith, dude.
[Reply]
Garrett Reply:
March 24th, 2011 at 9:21 pm
@Mike C, I hear you guys, really. But his stock is so high, that if he is a guy we can move to gain a 40 or 50 goal scorer (and look at our D coming up), I say we make the move. He is going to cost us TONS and I just don’t think he is the guy.
If we sign him for 5M + a season, you would take that over moving him for a 40 goal scorer?
I’m always torn on this, cause he’s a Kings fan himself (life long)…
[Reply]
lenman Reply:
March 24th, 2011 at 9:19 pm
@Garrett, He is young and still learning. No way should he ever be traded. There are 29 other teams who would kill for the chance to get DD on their side. Did you forget about the season he had last year?
[Reply]
Garrett Reply:
March 24th, 2011 at 9:26 pm
@lenman, You’re just making my point. There are 29 teams who would move a real ticket player to get him and we don’t NEED him. I think he’ll improve, but at times (and I’m going to get killed for this) he reminds me of Alexi Yashin.
At times people.

@Garrett, wow….i don’t even know what to say to that. lol. i would never in my lifetime want to see him traded away from the Kings.
he’s not greedy. he’s trying to carry it in to make a play. draw the forward back with him, get the 3 forwards in deep, opens up the d-man for a shot. that’s usually the plan with that play i believe.

@Garrett, Wow, not sold on that. He is definitely not living up to the hype but he is so young. I say give him at least one more year before you bail on him. He is a classic player that would go on to bite us in the ass on another team if we dish him. Guaranteed Norris trophy winner if we trade him. The only question is whether he will ever get to that point if we keep him. Maybe I am shell shocked but it seems to happen to us every time. Sydor and Visnovsky come to mind.

DesertKing Reply:
March 24th, 2011 at 9:23 pm
@Garrett,
Lets see. Great rookie season, Norris finalist in second season, and a “not great” third season following a significant concussion. There is a reason every team places a high value on DD – he is one of the top 5 d-men in the league and even with this “bad” season, 90% of the other d-men in the league wish they could play like DD has played this season. We can’t trade him for main reason – I have a “8″ back-in-black jersey and I don’t have the money to buy another one.

It’s MOLLER! High flying action!
We saw that in LOKTIONOV—and the Kings did better offensively.
Even a little bit in PARSE—he made Kopi & Brown better for five games early in the year.
Hope TM doesn’t shy away from it this time.

It feels like Moller’s speed might be a little contagiuos,,it seems to me that speed inspires quickness in others when they see it’s benifits,,just like good passing inspires more good passing. We seemed to do all those things better as a team becuase of Moller’s speed and some good passing

@Harty, Oscar should have been with us all year. The kid is a spark for us.

Just for stats purposes.. After 2 periods Moller leads the kings with 4 shots… Also lokti, schenn, and moller all came up this season and moller has been the best by far.
