Patrick Marleau’s second goal of the game, with 4.1 seconds remaining in the third period, sent the game to overtime. After a scramble in front of the Kings’ net, Marleau pounced on a loose puck to the side of the net and beat Quick from close range to make it a 3-3 game.
SO ANGRY! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??? C’mon Kings you have to win this!

[Reply]
That’s just disgusting……
[Reply]
why isnt stoll taking that draw!!!!!!!!!!
[Reply]
Good grief.
If we don’t get the second point, we gotta start thinking of a letdown on Saturday vs. COL.
[Reply]
Can someone explain why that was a neutral zone face off?
[Reply]
Speechless.
[Reply]
Not surprised

Don’t worry, Brown will win it in overtime / shoot out.

14 seconds and a face-off outside the SJ blue line with an empty net. That’s more unbelievable than Quick’s Jedi save

Obviously, Selke is not Slovenian for faceoff win.

@Airwaves, It was Zeus that let Couture go. Fox called it. Kopi should have just gone forward – push it all the way down the ice.

Boy, that would have been a great ending!

I can’t believe we’ve done this again. Unacceptable. Don’t care how good of a game, if we cant close, it means nothing. You guys can give me all the crap you want this time.

@the_guv, The Kings still have the best record in the league when leading after 2 periods. You’d like to not give up that point and get the tiebreaker win, but I’ll take the 2 points first.

just no more puppet flounders

Friggin Quick. That’s his game. Either lets in the easy one or the one that he absolutely has to save: fails! fails! fails! If I’m the coach Quick sits for the rest of the season to think about it and then maybe, just maybe he’ll get another shot. I am furious.

@THEROCKNROLL80S, Quick is our best goaltender right now. And when his career is finished I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the best this franchise has ever had. Bad bounces. Give the Sharks credit.
Quick played well in regulation and was awesome in OT & the shootout. Count to 10 and get over it.

The Smucks and Guppies are using up all of there luck on these last minute goals. We will save ours for the playoffs.

Lazy and stupid.

Puck possession. Where is it?
Why can’t someone yell at the top of his lungs after they score an important goal to not give it back a minute later?

I’ll take the shootout TWO points!
I hope..

Win or lose. Doesn’t matter.
They have serious issues with committing to defense at crucial moments in the game. They can’t shut it down when it must be shut down.

Osaka Reply:

@Scaught, Win or lose it doesn’t matter? Then what does? This isn’t figure skating dude, no points for style. The only thing that matters is winning. Winning games like this show character. You say the Kings gave up leads, so did SJ. Do the Sharks suck? That is what happens when TWO GOOD teams play a playoff like game.
[Reply]
Scaught Reply:
March 25th, 2011 at 8:42 am
@Osaka, It’s part of their history, being consistently unable to shut down teams. And if they’re to win a Cup, they need to establish a systematic approach to playing defense when it matters. They won the game, but when was the last time they won a playoff series? I rest my case.
The Sharks show much more consistency, though yes, they have had their problems b/t the pipes with Nabokov’s inability to carry ‘em over the hump.
[Reply]
Gary Reply:
March 25th, 2011 at 10:55 am
@Osaka, They had to kill 14 seconds with a neutral zone faceoff in the sharks end. Stanley cup contenders don’t blow games like that.
