Kings winger Justin Williams left the game with just under 10 minutes remaining in the third period, after being checked into the boards by Calgary’s Robyn Regehr. Williams skated off, slightly doubled over and went directly to the locker room, not to return to the game or the bench.
“Williams is not OK, no,” Terry Murray said after the game. “I haven’t got an update to tell you exactly what it is, but he’s not OK. He’s got an upper-body injury, and all I heard is that he will get to see the doctor tomorrow and get an evaluation and see where it’s at.”
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO Williams!!!!!!!!!!

Not now though, we need you Justin your a big part of our little offense

@tantrum4,
If we miss the playoffs or don’t do well in the playoffs, trust me, it won’t be just because of the loss of Williams. In truth Williams hasn’t been an impact player in the past ten games. And he made a turnover in tonight’s game that had Quick not been on top of his game could have led to a Calgary goal. Am I happy Williams is out? Of course not. Can this team overcome Williams being out? Absolutely!

If JW is out that removes exactly 50% of the Kings highly-skilled offensive players, and that will probably be too much to overcome.
Exciting game to watch but it doesnt matter if the opponents come in averaging 5 GA per game in their last few games, or a goalie was pulled in 6 minutes the night before or is making his second real start in over a year or maybe was just called up as a 4th replacement for 3 injured goalies… the Kings make them all look like stars. No finishing skill, and without JW, it’s gonna be worse.

He needs to get his legs back.
This is what I expect Thursday:

I love Williams (he’s been getting assists) but I really don’t think he’s Going to be missed tremendously if it’s a game or 2. But 3+, I’d worry a bit. Damnit, I was really happy for Williams. Great season, signed for the next couple of years. Hope the injury isn’t too bad. I was at the game and he did seem to be favoring his wrist.
Not sure if the Kings call up anyone. Probably put Harrold in there on the fourth line and move Simmonds or Richardson up to play with Kopitar and Penner. I like Moller’s skill but to have him come up in the middle of a tight NHL playoff race might be asking too much of him. This make’s Loktionov’s injury that much worse because he would have been a great filler.

Clifford-Lewis-Westgarth
guess we better get used to #19 getting his 4 minutes a night for the rest of the year.
