Williams `not OK’ after check

Kings winger Justin Williams left the game with just under 10 minutes remaining in the third period, after being checked into the boards by Calgary’s Robyn Regehr. Williams skated off, slightly doubled over and went directly to the locker room, not to return to the game or the bench.

“Williams is not OK, no,” Terry Murray said after the game. “I haven’t got an update to tell you exactly what it is, but he’s not OK. He’s got an upper-body injury, and all I heard is that he will get to see the doctor tomorrow and get an evaluation and see where it’s at.”

@KingsFanFTW, this is not good, not now……Justin is one of our big guns and threats, it is likely his shoulder area and it will be tender, most hockey players have this happen to them at some point.

Not now though, we need you Justin your a big part of our little offense

@Harty, its the collar bone area, to my above blog most hockey players have a collar bone that sticks up on one side, it happens but painful.

Com’on Justin get well and or healed fast…..we need you big guy

About twice as much crying as there is right now on this blog. yeah it hurts, but its ok, everyone on the team is stepping up now. and who knows, maybe its just a bad bruise and hes back in a week. If we miss the playoffs or don’t do well in the playoffs, trust me, it won’t be just because of the loss of Williams. In truth Williams hasn’t been an impact player in the past ten games. And he made a turnover in tonight’s game that had Quick not been on top of his game could have led to a Calgary goal. Am I happy Williams is out? Of course not. Can this team overcome Williams being out? Absolutely!

If JW is out that removes exactly 50% of the Kings highly-skilled offensive players, and that will probably be too much to overcome.
Exciting game to watch but it doesnt matter if the opponents come in averaging 5 GA per game in their last few games, or a goalie was pulled in 6 minutes the night before or is making his second real start in over a year or maybe was just called up as a 4th replacement for 3 injured goalies… the Kings make them all look like stars. No finishing skill, and without JW, it’s gonna be worse.

He needs to get his legs back.
