The poor PP after Simmonds got hooked going to the net really killed our momentum. Hopeully a good PP here to start the 3rd will get that momentum back.

Hopefully the end off that period signalled the Kings waking up and the Flames falling asleep after back to back games.

@Timbo from Canada, Strange to pick out JJ. There’s plenty of guys that do on the Kings. I think he’s just got a huge ego. That’s how ego plays.

Dustin Brown is the type of working class hero that does everything right for the Kings. He has absolutely no ego, all he does is absorb cheap shot after cheap shot with a smile on his face, knowing full well that the power play is worth the punishment.

only reason they had any success on that PP was because calgary looked like crap. the flames weren’t charging the point men at all. if their coach gives them an earful about it during the intermission, the kings will go right back to the old impotent PP

@KingsFanFTW, maybe he was trying to hit a zebra
[Reply]
The second line is awful; they pretty much spend the whole shift trying not to get scored on – one shot in two periods for that line.
One thing the Kings PP never seems to get anymore are tips, either high in the slot or right in front. Penner plays further away from the net and (I cant believe Im saying this) we miss Smyth’s tip presence in front. Smyth has only played 8 min, so put him on the #2 PP, he should be fresh. And STILL too many big windups after receiving a cross-ice pass… giving the goalie way too much time to adjust. A lot of PP rebounds came out the other side with no King near them, sadly.
This period is huge, boys! GKG!
[Reply]
Oooooh –Kompon coming up on the break to tell us what he almost finally did right

Instead of doing an interview with FSW, JK should be working on how we can score a goal on the PP at the start of the 3rd.
