Clifford status update

To follow up on the earlier note, here’s what Terry Murray said today about Kyle Clifford’s status. Clifford left Thursday’s game late in the first period after a fight, with what Murray later described as a head injury. Clifford did not practice yesterday or today and is not scheduled to play tonight…

MURRAY: “I talked to him here this morning. He rode the bike and he feels real good. Nothing out of the ordinary. He’s just got a black eye, and that won’t be the last one. [smiles] That was a good thing, that he’s feeling good. He will see our doctor again tonight, and hopefully everything just keeps improving.”

Question: Do you have any idea if he might be able to get back on the ice in the next couple days?

MURRAY: “I would assume — and I’m just assuming — that if everything goes well here, with his conversation (with the doctor) tonight that he would be cleared to get back on the ice and get skating again. I just want to make sure everything is right, with a young player.”
