Westgarth gets the call

As noted earlier, Kevin Westgarth will return to the Kings’ lineup tonight in place of Brad Richardson. Westgarth played in all three previous games against St. Louis and was not involved in a fight. The Blues are tied for fourth in the NHL this season in terms of most penalty minutes per game, with an average of 14.6. The Blues have also recorded 66 major penalties, third-most in the league this season. Here’s what Terry Murray said about playing Westgarth…

MURRAY: “Richie, I told him on the ice (during the morning skate). I like what he did. There were some high-energy shifts from that line. They really had an impact on the outcome of games. I just felt, looking at St. Louis’ lineup, that I need Westgarth.”
