Want to play some poker? The Kings’ alumni association, in cooperation with the Anaheim Ducks, is holding a “Rivalry Hold `em Poker Challenge” on April 7 at the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in Highland, near San Bernardino. The event, which has a $25 buy-in, starts at 7 p.m. and includes $10,000 in cash prizes and autographed memorabilia, plus an after-party at the casino. Participants must be 21 or older. The event will be held the night before the Kings and Ducks play their regular-season-ending, two-game, home-and-home series. Jim Fox is encouraging me to participate in the event and I think I will, even though I have zero experience playing real-life poker. It shouldn’t be too tough to knock me out… For more information on the event, check out LAKings.com/poker.
