The view from Dallas

The Western Conference standings aren’t loosening up much. Consider that the gap between the fourth-place Kings and the 10th-place Anaheim Ducks is four points. In the Eastern Conference, the gap between fourth-place Pittsburgh and 10th-place Toronto is 18 points. Given how tight the Pacific Division, in particular, is, those late-season division games have the potential to be huge.
