    Does anyone know what was said at the end of the 3rd video to make Dean laugh and say he was trying to get bated in? That was funny.

    @Kristie, I believe it was something in regards to the league video replay not ever working in our favor

    @KingsFanFTW, I’ve been to the breakfast a few times…that is the way it is. Actually, most of the times, the questions are so bad I want to strangle the person asking the questions. The questions/answers Rich put up, for the most part, were pretty good this year.

    I like the no time out after an icing suggestion. I think it would really put a team in the hole not being able to rest players during a crucial part of the game. Icing it and then calling a time out to rest players is a desperation all or nothing move. Since they only have 1 time out and use it at that momment, it tells just how crucial it would be to stop teams from resting or gaining back mommentum. I like it.

    Anybody have a clue as to why TM is using Richardson as though he’s the worst player on the team? Is Westgarth that 2-way player TM is always preaching about? Just so frustrated at the lack of logic there.

    @HappyLappy,
    4 to 5 minutes of below average play, but bigger body versus 9 to 12 minutes of energetic responsible shifts small body. Your not alone.

    @HappyLappy,

    TM is looking for “heavy”, not speed. He’s old school.

    @Kingsfanone, Does that mean when Richardson is in instead of Westy He’s new school?

    @HappyLappy, It’s really not hard.

    Westgarth plays against heavier teams, and Richardson plays against faster teams.

    They are both what they are. Fringe NHL, 4th line LW’s. Let’s not make them into something that they are not.

    Personally, I’d rather see Richardson in there, but I also would rather NOT see Clifford fighting guys who outweigh him by 40 pounds. If someone is going to be a punching bag, let it be Westgarth.

    I didn’t hear Scott Parse mentioned among the free agents.

    I hope we’re not writing him off. Look what JW has accomplished after a coupla hard-luck seasons.

    @tuan jim,

    Pay no attention to me. I’m psychotic and need caretakers to keep me from spitting up.

    I just noticed that Parse is not a UFA until after the end of NEXT season.

    @tuan jim, Not to mention, are you really comparing Parse to Williams? They are similar players, other than the fact that one has won a cup, has now 3 times been a 20+ goal scorer and has had numerous amounts of success in the NHL, meanwhile the other looked decent in a half a season of NHL play.

    Rich, thanks so much for posting these. There have been questions I’ve had about How Dean is constructing the team but they’ve been to a large extent dealt with (not entirely but certainly more than I would have thought) by hearing his comments. Also, he is a pretty engaging guy with his quips. Clearly imo a GM to be proud to have running the Kings.

    I have a couple of ideas… 1) add triangular sections of glass at the turnbuckles. That way, instead of heads slamming into vertical poles, heads raise up a bit, slide off and gravity takes over – reducing head injuries. 2) Why do both teams need to sit on the same side of the rink? Why not do what the NFL does? Teams sit opposite each other with their penalty boxes and off-ice officials can sit between the bench and the box. That would cut down on some of the drama as well.

    @K9Jeeper,

    Locker rooms are on one side of the arena. You separate the benches & you make one team walk more. Simple enough.

    @K9Jeeper, Great idea…simple answer.

    Money…takes away expensive seats to move a bench and then probably a penalty box.
