My LAKings.com feature this week takes a look at Willie Mitchell. At a time when concussions, and illegal hits, are a predominant topic in the NHL, Mitchell shares his thoughts about his recovery from last season’s serious concussions and the fears that he sometimes still has on the ice, as well as the concerns of his loved ones. Also included below is Mitchell’s “My Story” column, in which he talks about his path to the NHL. Thanks for reading…
Mitchell is a BEAST! One helluva acquisition that I hope stays in a Kings uniform for a LOOONG time!

Great piece, Rich! Mitchell is a classy guy, all the way. He is doing a great job bringing attention to a very serious issue in professional sports.
Stay healthy, Mitchell and GO KINGS!

The guy is definitely a world class guy. Here is a link to a story about how he will donate his brain if he gets diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neurodegenerative disease that leads to behavioral and cognitive problems like Bob Probert did.
