A happy Brown is a productive Brown

Dustin Brown had two assists last night, but that probably was not a just reward for the type of effort Brown gave in a game in which he tied for team highs in shots on goal (five) and hits (six) and consistently took the puck to the net with authority. Asked today about Brown’s effort against Minnesota, Terry Murray couldn’t even wait for the question to be finished…

MURRAY: “Really good. I loved the attitude that he shows in his game. The last few games here, he’s been that power forward. Take it to the net, drawing penalties, he’s making plays. He had a tremendous play on the Doughty goal, the winning goal. He’s got a smile on his face. I haven’t seen that for a while, quite honestly. I think he really felt the frustration of not scoring. And to me, it’s not always about that. You get away from doing all this other little stuff, in order to try to (score), when actually it’s the same thing. If you do all the little stuff, that stuff will take place. He looked very happy, the last few games, and I like that.”
