Doughty postgame quotes

Drew Doughty’s postgame thoughts…

(on the scoring efforts of Wayne Simmonds and himself…)
DOUGHTY: “It was obviously great for both of us there. It’s not that we’re frustrated with the way that our seasons are going, but we’re pretty frustrated statistically. He obviously wishes he could have a few more goals and points, and same on my side. So we’re really happy to contribute, but most importantly we’re really happy with the two points.”

(on winning the second of back-to-back games…)
DOUGHTY: “Back-to-back games are always tough, but me, personally, I always find the second one of the two a lot easier to play in, just because you have nothing to save it for. You can just kind of blow it out, and you don’t have much to worry about. We played a great back-to-back game tonight. We were a little shaky at times, but we got two points and I guess that’s all that matters.”

    @Dominick, Girls won’t play NHL 11 with them. Someone’s gotta step up.

    @wavesinair, normally, I cringe at scrolling down to look at post game comments on here. But this is by far my favorite. I just had to tell you.

    To set the record straight as a girl, I’d play NHL 11 with Dewey. I’d lose terribly, but he’s got years of practice through those awkward fat years before the NHL.

    Is there still anyone who thinks that Wayne Simmonds is expendable? What a mistake that would be….

    Slim Reply:

    @rontheking, Unfortunately I think he would be part of the cost if we go after Richards….

    @Slim, isn’t Richards injured?

    Slim Reply:

    @Hat trick, Yeah but that has never stopped us.. Doughty had a concussion.
    He’s a game changer.

    Jason4Kings Reply:

    @Slim, If he’s got concussion symptoms , and he’s a UFA this summer, then it’s not worth it. I wouldn’t give up anything.

    @rontheking, I don’t think I remember when he had a game like tonight’s. he just went nuts. played outta his mind imo. freaking awesome to watch. that one play in particular when he just downright beat the guy down low for the puck and then i think that was the one when he scored his 2nd goal.

    I think the DD stud from last season is back, hope he doesn’t prove me wrong. His timing and shot mentality is better than it was last season now. He’s figured out a way to get his shots through again and more-so on quality and not quantity.
