Moulson’s second goal of the game gave the Islanders a 3-0 lead with 6:20 remaining. Moulson, stationed in front with his back to the net, steadied a pass from PA Parenteau on his stick, then spun and, with Matt Greene in front of him, put a wrist shot past Quick.
The one thing that can’t happen to end the trip, happens…a terrible effort. I’m not sure how this happens but I always go back to the leadership on this team. When this team falls, it falls hard and fast.

@wavesinair, yeah but the kings are going to bring it against the ducks. every time we play them the boys take the intensity level up a notch

@sid the kid, That’s because we play to the level of the competition. If we squeak into 8th place, we’ll destroy Vancouver.

@wavesinair,
could it be that they are just tired…?
the ranger shootout loss was a pretty emotional defeat…
i know what you are saying…and overall, i do think that there are some problems when it comes to these situations…and the anaheim game will go a long way to add any more comment(s) towards brown and company….

@variable, How they lost this game isn’t because they’re physically tired. The mistakes and super lazy effort to start is just bad discipline. If they were tired, they could just focus on solid D. Instead, they played horrible to start. It’s mental. They’re mental.

@wavesinair,
when i looked at the layout of the road trip this one stuck out to me as a game where i thought a loss was pretty likely. end of the trip, lousy team, looking ahead to the ducks, and to top it off captain line tweaks had to mess with the successful lines… classic trap game.
look on the bright side – the ducks looked awful (worse) tonight… maybe they were looking ahead too? anyway, beat the ducks and ill forget all about this stinker.

Matt Moulson: former king, signs with the worst team, starts producing.

This all stared with the short hander. It never got any better for the Kings.

What a joke the LA Kings are.
“Shoots! It’s… wide.”
[Reply]
This is why this team won’t make the playoffs. We take nights off in the heat of a playoff race. When you don’t have energy you find energy. This is pathetic to lose to this Islanders team, completely unacceptable!

theres our missing Left winger AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Nice PPP Kings.
You can see why Moulson doesn;t fit in, he likes to play speed, pass, and score. Not part or our cycle, grind, lose the puck and lag the play style.

This is disgusting.
I pray to the hockey gods that anaheim loses as well.
[Reply]
Was our entire team fumegated by some rogue hippie dope cloud? I know TM was a long time ago, but that’s another story….
[Reply]
That’s what happens when you underestimate a team.
[Reply]
Well Dean Lombardi, I am guessing having Matt Moulson come back and stick it to ya probably doesnt taste very good huh ? Also, leave it to an ex Coyote to play over his head vs the Kings….gee, didnt see that coming.
[Reply]
We have the killer instinct of a chihuahua. Nobody showed up to play this game tonight, and no recyclable cliche coming out of Murray’s mouth could tell me any differently. Dean better get off of his yellow raft, put down the margarita, and start making some phone calls for some offense, and some speed.
[Reply]
Wait we are missing a LW? Really. The sentiment here is that everything is fine, don’t mess with the team. Yeah right! WE HAVE NO OFFENSE. Dean PLEASE get us someone. This is horrific.

Yugo –thats the car that has the little lines on the back window so when you are pushing it –keeps your hands warm?

Again, losing is one thing. It sucks. But being shutout is really bad. Our team fold so easily sometimes. Not a good sign.
[Reply]
That was a depressing 2 1/2 hours.
[Reply]
Poor Game
Trade the Kings players against the Islanders
They have mor effort to make the playoffs
and earn lots of fewer money
[Reply]
Matt Moulson has more goals than anyone on out team
who get fired!!!!!!!!!
[Reply]
What a great game that was. The Kings looked like a bunch of old guys who really mailed it in.
[Reply]
Set new lines and stay with them – the Kings get points.
Coach changes lines – Kings get no points.
Terry Murray’s ONLY solution to this team’s problems is changing lines, I’ll take his job at 1/4 of his salary, and I bet I’ll get the same results.
Hey Tim, think of the money you could save!
[Reply]
Well, I sure am glad TM benched Lokti, Westie sure was the difference maker tonight!!! As for the LW problem Alex Semin is being shopped by Wash as I sit here and cry! I need another beer
